A self-employed worker’s regulatory monthly salary base is the one from the month prior to the leave (common contingency) or accident (occupational accident).

It is not updated during the temporary disability (IT) period except in cases where the regulatory monthly salary base derives from contributions based on the maximum and minimum bases. If there is a change in these contribution bases due to official regulations, the regulatory monthly salary base must be adjusted to the new situation.
